Bull Harbour one Night for waiting to Cross
Our plan is to cross the open waters early in the morning, so we'll arrive here around noon on the first day. Then we'll just wait. We'll be staying here for half a day and one evening. If anyone is nearby, feel free to come over for a drink and chat about sailing stories. If you have a fishing boat, you can take us fishing nearby, which would be fun too. Please give us a quote if you need one!

The day
The day began with the dark blue hull of Mr Water sitting quiet at Bull Harbour, the morning sky clear over the tree line as the boat waited at the dock before the crossing ahead.
With half a day and an evening to spend before the open water, the time went toward the water itself. A halibut came up flat and pale against the dark sea, held over the net at the rail. Later a lingcod was brought up too, its mottled colors bright against the grey sky and the forested shoreline behind.
As the light changed, the sky over the water turned to a deep red sunset, the sun dipping low behind distant hills and a ship on the horizon, the sea calm and silver beneath it.
In the evening, mist settled over the harbour and the boats around Mr Water faded into soft grey outlines. On the table outside, cigars, two bottles of whisky, and a small camera with a red strap were laid out together, the fog thick over the water and the trees behind.
The day ended quietly there in the harbour, with Jay and the crew having fished, talked, and watched the sky change, all while waiting for the early morning crossing still to come.
