Linthlop Islet 7 days for Fishing
We plan to stay here for a week to fish in the open sea and sightsee in this bay. We've never been here before, so please give us some pointers if you see this. We also invite friends from the neighborhood to come and meet us in the evening, have a drink, and chat about sailing stories and fishing experiences!

The day
The day began at East Cove on Vancouver Island, where the group gathered aboard King Fishing to start a week planned around the open sea and the quiet waters near Linthlop Islet. The charts were out early, with a careful eye on the soundings and markers around Skedin Islet, as the crew got their bearings in a place none of them had fished before.
Out on the water, the day's good fortune showed itself quickly. Peter stood at the stern grinning, holding up a halibut nearly as long as he was tall, the forested shoreline and calm channel stretched out behind him. From the helm, the crew kept watch over the instruments, charts glowing on the display as King Fishing moved steadily along the coastline.
The sea gave more than fish that day. Somewhere along the misty shoreline, an orca surfaced close to the boat, its fin cutting through still water beneath a line of fog-wrapped trees — a moment quiet enough to feel like a gift.
As evening came on, the gathering widened. True to the plan, neighbors and friends from nearby boats came aboard to share a drink and trade stories of sailing and fishing, voices mixing with the sound of water against the hull. Alice and Peter traded notes with the newcomers, and A Yahull gathering, hosting it all, made sure everyone felt welcome in this new and unfamiliar bay.
The day closed gently, with full nets, full hearts, and the promise of more days ahead to explore the open sea and the sheltered waters around Linthlop Islet.
