LOUIS XIII Sunset Yacht

The day began with boarding by the water, guests arriving in summer voyage attire as the boat prepared to leave Bed Well Bay. Trays of crystal glasses were set out on the wooden table, and the LOUIS XIII decanter was placed at the center, catching the late afternoon light.

As the boat eased onto the water, the mountains and tree-lined shore rolled past in the background. Friends gathered along the deck in small groups for photographs, sunglasses pushed up, smiles easy and unhurried. A group of women toasted together near the bow, their glasses raised against the shimmer of the lake.

The tasting unfolded slowly as the sun dropped lower. The cognac was poured carefully into the engraved glasses, one tray after another, while guests leaned in to admire the amber color against the darkening water. Pairs and small groups posed together near the railing, the light turning gold, then rose, then soft blue.

Near the stern, a small gathering circled the decanter atop a red-draped table, hands resting together around it in a quiet, celebratory moment. Laughter carried across the deck as more friends joined for group photos, arms raised, the forested hills standing still behind them.

As the evening settled in, the boat drifted gently on calm water, the last light catching the glasses still lined up on the table. Guests lingered together, unhurried, enjoying the company and the view until the sunset dimmed into dusk, closing the day exactly as it had opened — easy, warm, and shared among friends.
